He tries every night.

He has two ideas. Burning him with Hellfire, and burning Lucifer up with it, or killing him, separating the soul and tearing Lucifer out.

I hate both. But I want him better.

If it was Samuel's soul Castiel would have seen something wrong with it. He shouldn't die because of Lucifer.

He says it's temporary. But, he thinks Lucifer might dig in his heels. Or, the memory of him or whatever. All I know is something has to change

Of course he would, it's Lucifer. If there's a chance of making it worse you can't take it.

It's NOT. It's like a vestige of him. According to Cas, it's psychological. Escape the cage, retain your soul, but you get the consequence of Harvey, the invisible rabbit.

I don't want it to be Lucifer either, I don't think it is any part of him than a traumatic response to what Sam went through, but I won't let what we try make it worse for him.

Some of his hallucinations have been close enough.

It isn't just Sam I'm scared for.

He's had months, if he was going to go into first gear, he would've. Lucifer doesn't stand idly by. All he's done is taunt Sam. Keep him awake. We're safe.

Any research turn anything else up?

I know spells to physically harm Lucifer. I don't know how to touch this.

There are plenty of things I can do to wee Samuel's mind. None of which you'd want me to.

I haven't stopped looking. If I could remove his memory of what Lucifer did to him it would stop the hallucinations but we don't know what else it would do to him. It's messy, anything psychological is. We want a better solution.
